Éliane Radigue & Frédéric Blondy – Occam XXV (Organ Reframed, CD/digital)

The extensive Éliane Radigue retrospective at this year's MaerzMusik was above all exactly that, a look back on the early work of a quiet radical that focused on the artist’s electronic pieces. Yet Radigue has long since moved on and for some time now has dedicated herself to the sonic possibilities of acoustic instruments. On »Occam XXV« it is the organ in London's Union Chapel, on which Frédéric Blondy recorded the piece. Following Radigue's composition, he explores the instrument's sound spectrum with care and due calm.
